# ScanTexter

> ScanTexter is an OCR screen and image text extractor and translator for Mac, iPhone, and iPad, developed by BoardTack.

The canonical product site is https://www.boardtack.com/ScanTexter/. On Mac, ScanTexter captures a selected screen area, extracts editable text with OCR, and translates it. Display modes include popover, overlay window, and separate window. On iPhone and iPad, it extracts and translates text from images and photos. The Mac app requires macOS 13 Ventura or later.
